Mr. Andy Campbell, Principal

Mr. Andy Campbell, Principal, of Summit Ridge Academy (SRA) has served as an administrator at SRA since the 2015-2016 school year.  He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Culver-Stockton College in History/Political Science in 1994 and earned his teaching certification in Special Education from the University of Central Missouri (UCM) in 1997.  Mr. Campbell received a Master’s Degree in Secondary School Administration from UCM in 2004 and Education Specialist degree in Administration/Superintendency from UCM in 2017. In 2016 Mr. Campbell became a certified trainer in Trauma Informed Care from Truman Medical Center’s Center for Trauma Informed Innovation.

Prior to being the principal at SRA, Mr. Campbell served for one year as the assistant principal at SRA and served as assistant principal and principal at Harrisonville High School.  Before becoming an administrator he taught Special Education at Pleasant Lea Middle School and Lee’s Summit West High School in the Lee’s Summit School District and at Ozanam Home for Boys in the Grandview School District.  Mr. Campbell served as President of the Greater Kansas City Metropolitan Principals Association in 2013-2014 and is a member of Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals, the National Association of Secondary School Principals, Missouri Alternative Educators Network, and the National Alternative Educators Association.

Mr. Ryan Town, Assistant Principal

Mr. Ryan Town, Assistant Principal, of Summit Ridge Academy (SRA) has served as an administrator at SRA since the 2016-2017 school year.  He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Missouri State University (MSU) in Secondary Education-Business in 2002.  In 2006 Mr. Town received a Master’s Degree in Secondary School Administration from William Woods University.

Prior to being the assistant principal, Mr. Town taught Business at SRA from 2006-2015.  During this time he coached basketball and golf at Lee’s Summit West High School.  Mr. Town is a member of Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals, the National Association of Secondary School Principals, and the Missouri Alternative Educators Network.
